Must-haves

Thorwald Dethlefsen
The Challenge of Fate
Coventure LTD

It is no accident that this is the first book in this list, and as far as I’m concerned it might as well be the only one. I have given away dozens of copies and always received great feedback. “The Challenge of Fate” should be a mandatory text for any sincere researcher. Unfortunately, it has not been published in English for several years and the few copies for sale are used and cost several hundred dollars! Therefore it is justifiable to look for free downloadable copies, which, fortunately, can be found with a simple internet search, so enjoy your reading! However, if you don’t want to download the pdf and print it out, as a second choice I recommend the next book by Dethlefsen, “The Healing Power of Illness” (Sentient Publications), co-written with another author (Ruediger Dahlke) who does not have the same gift of words, in the sense that it is long-winded and verbose, nothing like the elegant and effective synthesis of the book written by Dethlefsen alone.

Carl Gustav Jung
Memories, Dreams, Reflections
HarperCollins Pub Ltd

Jung’s last book is actually the first one you should read if you are interested in discovering the thoughts of this great explorer of consciousness. It is beautiful, flows like a novel and is full of anecdotes about his life, many of which have stuck with me indelibly. You will enjoy it.

Paramhansa Yogananda

Beautiful and inspiring, a must-have classic in your library.

I did the visualizations according to the instructions and they work! Reading it is like peeking into the universal laws.

Fred Hageneder
The Meaning of Trees: Botany, History, Healing, Lore
Chronicle Books

Why a book about trees? As soon as I finished reading it I immediately started it again and understood clearly that the sentient Spirit is alive and present in the plant world, and how it enables life on this planet. If this makes you think of mushrooms – a higher realm than the plant realm – you’ve thought well.

Drunvalo Melchizedek

Light Technology Publishing

An information-packed book that reads like a novel. It enabled me to finally understand what the Flower of Life is and represents. It is enlightening.

The power of presence, a book dedicated to the here and now that has been a worldwide success. There are very good reasons to buy it and read it now.

E.J. Gold
American Book of the Dead
Gateways Books & Tapes

If it is true that our subconscious remembers everything, and hypnosis shows us this unequivocally, then the instructions in this book are a must-read; they will come in handy as soon as we die. Gold is an Awakened being and knows directly what he is writing about. I don’t like his writing style – it is a personal matter – but his books are important. Start with this one which is indispensable.

The Biology of Belief

The text suggests a paradigm shift in biology: it is not DNA that determines our health, but rather what we feel and think. This extreme simplification does not do it justice. This is a book that you must read.

Gregg Braden
The Divine Matrix
Hay House Inc.

The author is a scientist but above all an excellent communicator. This book, like Lipton’s, also describes a paradigm shift. It overturns the conventional view of the world and reality. Both are very useful, especially to psychonauts.

Integral Psychology: Consciousness, Spirit, Psychology, Therapy
Shambhala

An analysis and synthesis of the various traditions of human development – psychological, social and spiritual – identifying the common elements among them. If you are not convinced by the model of different bodies making up a human being that I presented to you (also clearly described by Wilber), you can find many others in this book, all of which are useful for your personal, social, and spiritual fulfillment. Ken Wilber is one of the founders of Transpersonal Psychology along with Roberto Assagioli, Stanislav Grof, and other luminaries.

A challenging but extremely interesting work, this is the seminal text by an extraordinary thinker and it left me speechless. If you are a professional in the field of therapeutic relationships it should be on your bookshelf, likewise if you are a psychonaut who wants to know more.

Family Constellations

It’s much better to do constellations than to read about them. I recommend doing a web search on the FC options in your area and requesting to attend one first and subsequently reading about them. But if you just can’t resist getting some more information, I suggest you look at the Wikipedia page about the originator of this technique of systemic psychology, Bert Hellinger. It is an excellent introduction where you can also find his complete bibliography.

The Healing Power of Illness: Understanding What Your Symptoms Are Telling You
Sentient Publications

This is the text written after “The Destiny as Choice, an in-depth study devoted to understanding illness. While the first is incisive and essential, this one is quite verbose, because of Ruediger Dahlke being co-author with Dethlefsen. For this reason I recommend it only after reading the first one and in order to delve into specific health-related issues. Although I do not appreciate Dahlke’s contributions, it is still a book I recommend.

It is said that when Confucius discovered this ancient book he declared that he wished he could live many more years in order to devote them only to the study of this text. I particularly recommend it.
